Vijay J. Marolia, MBA, CFP®
Vijay J. Marolia has over 15 years of experience in capital markets specializing in hedge fund and private equity investment strategies. He is Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Regal Point Capital, a fast growing, multi-strategy investment firm.
Vijay is frequently featured in media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, ValueWalk, Mining Weekly, Seeking Alpha, Investopedia, Fox 35 Orlando & more. Along with being a sought after media source, Vijay also guest lectures at the University of Florida. Before launching Regal Point Capital in 2013, Vijay spent eight years at Private Wealth Management at Heathrow, one of Central Florida’s top wealth management firms, with over $300 million in assets under management. As Chief Investment officer, Mr. Marolia served as the firm’s global macroeconomic strategist and was responsible for research and portfolio construction. Mr. Marolia has done extensive research and due diligence on the world’s leading fund managers.
Vijay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Rollins College’s Crummer Graduate School of Business, where he served on the Alumni Board. In 2010, Vijay earned the CFP designation and became the firm’s youngest ever partner the following year. He left in 2012 to pursue his dreams and launched Regal Point Capital Management, LLC shortly thereafter.
In 2015, Mr. Marolia launched two brand new and exciting charities; Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise Orlando, with a mission to improve the overall health and living standards in the greater Orlando Area–as well as, Hedge Against Homelessness, which partners with local organizations to focus on fighting homelessness. Mr. Marolia was recently appointed to the City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board by Mayor Buddy Dyer to serve a 2 year term. Vijay lives in the heart of downtown Orlando, where he enjoys rooting for the Orlando Magic (even when they don’t win…) and the Orlando City Soccer Lyons.
Janak S. Marolia has over 37 years of experience in the real estate industry and has extensive knowledge of hotel development and operations management. He is a director for Regal Point Capital.
Marolia was awarded the Premier Legacy award from Choice Hotels International in May 2015. The award honors a Choice Hotel franchisee whose history of performance sets a high standard for the industry.
Prior to his involvement with RPC, Janak owned or invested in over 60 commercial properties worth over $125 million in Florida, California, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Oklahoma. He has also been involved in 9 new development projects across the United States.
Marolia is a Certified Hotel Administrator and began his career in 1976 with Century 21. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from M.S. University in Baroda, India in 1973 and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Lincoln University in San Francisco, CA in 1975.
Priti M. Patel
Priti M. Patel is a licensed attorney in South Carolina with experience in multiple areas of law including but not limited to Real Estate, Foreclosure and Corporate law. She earned her J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2010. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Advertising with a concentration in Business Administration from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Central Florida. Priti is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
